What is a Food Web?

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about Food webs and how they work. I haven’t finished. But It’s ok the teacher showed show us how it is actually made. I was confused when she showed us. Then when I look at it I realised that I done it different to her’s.

 Teachers
My food web.

My food web is different to the teacher’s because the arrows on her’s are coloured and mine aren’t. So When my teacher done the arrows. The red arrows that are facing the stoute is the end of the food web so the stoute eats all of the other animals. The Food web starts with invertebrates, They are the energy that Kiwi’s and Kereru eat.

What Does Taskmasters do?

Kia ora bloggers, On Monday 22nd March we have been working in our learning groups as a team. The rules are One person in your group is the drawer and the other two people in that group is the runners or walkers they have to go one at a time and they have to tell the drawer what and where to draw because they are not allowed to touch the paper or  I am the  drawer of the group. I  had to draw the picture and the two other people in my group were my friends Gail and Alexander they are the runners or the walkers. They had to tell me what to draw. The first attempt I drawed on the back of the paper with no line and it was hard to draw on the side with no lines. The things i liked about taskmasters was drawing the picture and listening to my group arguing about the colours of the drawings are. The easy part about it was drawing it and the challenging part of taskmasters was understanding what my group was tell me.for the second attempt I used the lined side and it was easier to draw on but my two group member kept arguing and I just sat there. We had to restart the drawing for the second attempt. It was hard for my friends to remember the drawing on our teachers but we had fun working as a team hope you like my blog post. Has your school done  taskmasters before?

Please Care About The Ecosystem

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about the ecosystem and how it keeps consumers alive in the wild. We have been looking for facts about it and how photosynthesis help the producer grow. I have done my facts and drawings about the ecosystem. For my producer I used a kowhai tree and for the consumers I used a tui and a possum. It took me 2 weeks to do it but eventually I got it done. My teachers are impressed with me for the good work i have done for my ecosystem. The things i liked about  the ecosystem was making the ecosystem. The challenging part about it was doing the synthesising and looking for the facts.

Have you ever made an ecosystem or found facts about the ecosystem before?

For Real Tsunami

Last Friday we had a tsunami evacuation. The whole school had to walk all the way up a big hill and we stayed up there all day with no food until 1:30 something in the afternoon. Our teachers went back down the hill to get our school bags in  two vans. While they were doing that one of our teacher aides, Gina,  did some quizzes for us. She is the best. Some of the kids from school went home with their parents and the rest of us stayed up the hill. We got back to school at quarter past two. We sat in  side for a little and then went out and played  until the bell rang. The things I liked about the tsunami evacuation was eating and doing quizzes. The challenging part about Friday was not being able to eat or play. Have you ever seen a tsunami evacuation before? Here is the water in waitangi.
